In its regular session today, Monday, chaired by Abdullah Al-Muhri, the Municipal Council approved several proposals, including:

1. Kuwait Accessibility Code Update – A proposal by council member Engineer Farah Al-Roumi to define the scope of responsibility for implementing and updating the Kuwait Accessibility Code in line with universal design principles.

2. Temporary Walkway in Keifan – A proposal by council member Engineer Abdulatif Al-Duai to allocate a temporary pedestrian walkway in Keifan, Plot (7).

3. Approval of Substation Locations

   • Allocation of a site for a secondary substation in Keifan, as requested by the Ministry of Electricity, Water & Renewable Energy.

   • Approval of a relocation request for a secondary substation in Adailiya, Plot (2), to an alternative site.

4. Amendment to Mubarakiya Subdivision Project – Approval of the Ministry of Electricity, Water & Renewable Energy’s request to modify two Municipal Council decisions related to the Mubarakiya Subdivision Project.

5. Replacement of Landmark Monument – Approval of the Green Urban Development Initiatives Committee’s request to replace and relocate the memorial monument at the intersection of Riyadh Street and the First Ring Road.
