The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) issued a strong condemnation on Thursday of racist statements by officials in the Israeli occupation government advocating annexation and imposition of sovereignty over the occupied West Bank.

In its statement, the OIC characterized these declarations as:

• A flagrant violation of international legitimacy resolutions

• A breach of international law

• An attempt to undermine international efforts supporting the two-state solution

The OIC warned of the dangerous implications of:

1. Inflammatory rhetoric by Israeli occupation leaders

2. Continued provocations by extremist settlers

3. Targeted aggression against the Palestinian people, their land, and holy sites

The organization reiterated its calls for:
✓ International recognition of the State of Palestine
✓ Full UN membership for Palestine
✓ Concrete measures to end:

• Occupation

• Illegal settlement activities

• Violations of relevant UN resolutions

• Defiance of the International Court of Justice's advisory opinion
