UN OCHA Office: The Situation in Gaza Has Surpassed Catastrophe..

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) stated on Monday that the situation in the Gaza Strip has become "beyond catastrophic" as Israeli occupation forces continue hostilities while Palestinians endure severe hunger.

In a press release, OCHA reported additional fatalities from hostilities and documented new starvation-related deaths, including among children.

The UN agency warned that civilians now rely on just one daily meal from community kitchens, yet the quantities cooked remain insufficient to meet Gazans' needs.

OCHA noted that only 8 out of 12 planned missions delivering food and fuel supplies to northern Gaza were successfully facilitated, all requiring coordination with Israeli occupation authorities.

The UN office emphasized that movement restrictions – including prolonged detentions at checkpoints and endless queues within the Strip – continue to obstruct aid delivery to those most desperately in need.
