OnePlus today announced the new flagship version of its operating system, OxygenOS 16, which is based on Android 16. This release focuses on enhancing AI capabilities, improving seamless performance, expanding connectivity between devices, as well as broader customization options for users.

OxygenOS 16 carries many of the AI features that have appeared in OxygenOS 15 with obvious improvements, along with all-new features.

Mind Space has been updated to include integration with Google Gemini, allowing users to search for content within Mind Space or use Gemini to create daily travel schedules and tasks. The feature also supports recording voice notes and creating smart content groups.

One of the new features this year is the AI Writer feature, which can write creative texts based on phrases or ideas provided by the user, as well as review and correct text within most apps.

The AI Recorder feature is now able to record sessions and automatically convert them into written texts while identifying the speakers.
