ChatGPT has returned to WhatsApp in the European Economic Area (EEA) following a European Commission decision requiring Meta to make third-party AI-powered chatbots freely available within the app. This decision came after Meta blocked the use of third-party AI bots in WhatsApp last November, before reinstating support for them in March, but for a fee.
