A well-known technology brand is preparing to launch its first smartwatch with an unconventional design..

Numerous reports indicate that Nothing is preparing to enter the smartwatch market under its main brand, a move that could complement its existing portfolio of smartphones, earphones, and other products. This information comes from a new leak by the well-known leaker Yogesh Brar, who revealed a number of initial details about the anticipated product, while emphasizing that the company has not yet made any official announcements.

The Nothing smartwatch is expected to arrive in September with a transparent design and a price tag under $300.

The leak suggests an initial launch in a limited number of markets.

The operating system and full specifications remain unconfirmed.

The watch could compete in the mid-range and high-end smartphone market.

The leaker reported that the company is currently developing its first smartwatch under the Nothing brand, and it is expected to be unveiled this September. The watch will reportedly be priced under $300 and will be available in a limited number of markets during the initial launch phase. It will feature the transparent design that has characterized the company's products since the launch of its first smartphones.

The Nothing smartwatch and the ecosystem expansion strategy:

Since its inception, Nothing has relied on building an interconnected ecosystem of devices, leading many observers to anticipate the launch of a smartwatch under its main brand. Although the company has already entered the smartwatch market, it has chosen to do so through its sub-brand CMF, which targets the budget and mid-range segments.

Last year, the company launched the CMF Watch 3 Pro, which offered specifications suitable for its price range. It featured a 1.43-inch AMOLED display, built-in GPS, Bluetooth calling, and a suite of health and fitness tracking features, along with a battery life that lasted for several days.

Despite these specifications, the watch falls into the category of devices that rely on a simplified operating system and doesn't offer the comprehensive experience of smartwatches running advanced operating systems like Wear OS. It seems that Nothing is aiming to deliver a more sophisticated product under its core brand this time around, which could put it in direct competition with several smartwatches in the mid-range and high-end price segments.
