The rising cost of RAM (memory memory) won't be the only reason your next phone will cost more, as Qualcomm is also preparing to raise prices across its entire processor range. Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon stated on Wednesday that prices for the company's products will increase starting September 1st. Rumors circulated last week that the increase would be a double-digit percentage. Qualcomm announced plans to raise prices while reporting a 20% drop in annual revenue from its mobile division, the lowest level the company has seen since 2021. In its quarterly earnings presentation, Qualcomm explained that this decline was due to "unprecedented increases in memory prices and supply constraints," which have led to price hikes on everything from gaming devices to laptops and even Raspberry Pi boards, with no signs of this stopping anytime soon.
