Japanese government data released Tuesday showed that the Japanese economy grew at a faster pace than initially estimated in the second quarter, supported by a smaller-than-expected decline in business investment. The Cabinet Office announced that real GDP, adjusted for inflation, rose at an annualized rate of 1.4% in the April-June period, compared to a preliminary estimate of 1.1%. The economy also grew by 0.4% quarter-on-quarter, compared to an initial reading of 0.3%.
