The Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources has announced new pricing for all petroleum products, effective Friday morning. The Automatic Fuel Pricing Committee approved the following changes:
Transportation Fuels:
Premium 95 Octane: Increased to EGP 19.00/liter (~$0.37)
Regular 92 Octane: Increased to EGP 17.25/liter (~$0.336)
80 Octane: Increased to EGP 15.75/liter (~$0.306)
Diesel: Adjusted to EGP 15.50/liter (~$0.29)
Kerosene: Set at EGP 15.50/liter (~$0.297)
Household & Commercial Gas:
Domestic LPG cylinders: Increased from EGP 150 to EGP 200 (~$3.90)
Commercial LPG cylinders: Increased from EGP 300 to EGP 400 (~$7.80)
Industrial Fuels:
Bulk gas: Increased from EGP 12,000 to EGP 16,000/ton (~$311.70)
Brick kiln gas: Increased from EGP 190 to EGP 210 per million BTU (~$4.10)
Industrial mazut: Increased from EGP 9,500 to EGP 10,500/ton (~$204.60)
Note: Prices remain unchanged for power plants, food industries, and vehicle CNG

These adjustments reflect:
Ongoing economic reforms under Egypt's IMF program
Efforts to reduce subsidy burdens (currently ~2.5% of GDP)
Alignment with global market trends (Brent crude currently at $85/barrel)
Commitment to quarterly price review mechanism established in 2019
