His Excellency Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, Kuwait’s Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, emphasized on Tuesday that Gulf youth are the fundamental force behind "the sustainable development journey in our countries."

The minister’s remarks came during a ceremony honoring a select group of outstanding Gulf youth, organized by the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) under the slogan "Gulf Youth… Creativity, Leadership, Achievement."

Al-Mutairi stressed that "it is our duty to provide our Gulf youth with an environment that nurtures their ambitions, believes in their capabilities, and supports their journey toward excellence," expressing his pride in participating in the event.

He noted that since the GCC’s establishment, its leaders have held a steadfast vision: "Investing in people, particularly in the potential of youth, is the optimal path to building prosperous and sustainable societies."

"You bear a great responsibility—to persevere, overcome challenges, remain steadfast to your pledge, and serve as the foundation of your nations," he told the youth. "With your determination, innovation, and drive, the GCC countries will continue to lead as nations that believe in their youth and build their future through their efforts."

Al-Mutairi urged the youth to "reflect on the rapidly changing world around them," highlighting that "progress today hinges on innovation and excellence, achieved through persistence and hard work."

The minister conveyed the greetings of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah (may God protect him), His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah (may God protect him), and His Highness Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, along with their heartfelt wishes for success in serving the Gulf’s joint cooperation and advancing its achievements for the benefit of youth and the region.

He extended gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia—its leadership, government, and people—for hosting this significant event and commended the GCC General Secretariat, led by Secretary-General Jasem Al-Budaiwi, for their dedicated efforts in empowering Gulf youth across all fields.

The ceremony concluded with Minister Al-Mutairi honoring 12 young men and women from GCC countries for their creativity and initiatives contributing to their nations' progress.
