The Ministry of Health announced today, Wednesday, that it will organize the third Kuwait International Family Medicine Conference under the patronage of the Minister of Health, Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadhi, from April 24 to 26 at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel.Dr. Mohammed Al-Azmi, Chairman of the Kuwait Association of Family Medicine and General Practitioners and Chairman of the Gulf Society of Family Medicine, said, "The conference, which will be held under the slogan 'Excellence in Care,' will be attended by 50 local and international experts and specialists in the fields of family medicine and primary healthcare."Dr. Al-Azmi added that the conference embodies support for Kuwait Vision 2035 and reinforces the global sustainable development goals set by the United Nations. He explained that the conference will highlight the vital role of family physicians in improving the health of individuals and communities and enhancing the quality and efficiency of healthcare, a goal everyone aspires to achieve.He pointed out that this scientific event represents an important strategic initiative to advance the development of family medicine in Kuwait and the Gulf, and to consolidate the concepts of prevention and integration in the provision of care, while emphasizing the importance of innovation and scientific research, and enabling physicians to keep pace with the latest developments in global medical practices.Dr. Al-Azmi stated that the conference will include more than 30 specialized scientific sessions, in addition to 10 interactive and qualitative workshops aimed at enhancing the clinical and practical skills of participating physicians. He added, "The conference will include a distinctive space for innovation and scientific research, where three scientific poster competitions will be organized, with prizes allocated for the best three posters and research papers in each competition, with the aim of encouraging young researchers and supporting the spirit of scientific excellence within the medical community."Dr. Al-Azmi called on all doctors, specialists, and healthcare professionals to register and actively participate in this prominent event, which represents a rich knowledge platform and a unique opportunity to enhance professional communication and exchange expertise with a group of prominent international and local experts.
