Coalition says it destroyed two ballistic missile launchers in Yemen's Saada
التحالف يعلن تدمير منصتين لإطلاق الصواريخ الباليستية في صعدة

The Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen said it destroyed two ballistic missile launch platforms in Saada province early on Saturday.
The announcement followed a statement on Friday evening by coalition spokesman Maj. Gen. Turki Al-Maliki, who said the coalition had foiled attempts to smuggle weapons by sea to the Houthi militia in Hodeidah province. Al-Maliki posted a video on X showing strikes on the smuggling operations, writing: "We strike them on land... we drown them at sea."
The coalition also said on Friday evening that Saudi air defences had intercepted a ballistic missile heading towards Yanbu, two cruise missiles over the Red Sea and three drones over the southern region and Riyadh. On the same evening, two missiles fired by the Houthis landed inside the grounds of Aden International Airport as a passenger aircraft was preparing for take-off.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the UN Security Council condemned "in the strongest terms" the continuing and escalating Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia, including strikes on civil aviation and energy infrastructure that killed and injured civilians. Council members expressed solidarity with the kingdom, affirmed its inherent right to self-defence under international law, and demanded that the Houthis immediately halt their military escalation. They also reiterated their support for the Yemeni government and their commitment to Yemen's unity, sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity.
Saudi Arabia welcomed the statement, highlighting its call for the full implementation of Security Council resolutions and for practical cooperation to prevent the Houthis from obtaining weapons and other forms of support.
On the ground, Yemen's armed forces said they repelled a Houthi assault in Taiz that lasted about 12 hours, while clashes were reported on the Al-Madaraba and Al-Wazi'iya fronts in Lahj province.
