Kuwait's evening school clubs to reopen November 8
وزارة التربية تعيد تشغيل الأندية المدرسية المسائية في 8 نوفمبر

Kuwait's Ministry of Education will reopen its evening school clubs on November 8 for the 2026-2027 academic year, giving students a chance to build skills and talents outside regular class hours, the ministry announced on Sunday.
In a press statement, the ministry said the move follows directives from Education Minister Jalal Al-Tabtabaei to reactivate the clubs and strengthen their role in offering a stimulating environment that supports students' development across a range of fields.
Registration for teachers and educational staff wishing to work at the clubs opened on Sunday, November 1, and runs until November 5 through a dedicated online platform.
The clubs, open to both boys and girls, will offer sports including football, handball, basketball and bowling, staffed by male and female physical education teachers according to their specializations. Robotics clubs will be led by computer science teachers, practical studies and industrial applications clubs by practical studies teachers, and debate clubs by Arabic language teachers. Scouting clubs will be run by scouting supervisors and leaders.
Applicants must currently be employed by the ministry and have at least two years of experience counted from their most recent appointment. They must not have faced disciplinary action in the past two years unless it has been legally expunged, and must have received an "Excellent" performance rating in each of those two years. Their specialization must match the activities offered, and they must pass a personal interview conducted by the relevant technical supervision department.
The ministry urged eligible staff to register before the deadline, saying the clubs reinforce schools' role as centers of educational and personal development.
