Motorists on the Sixth Ring Road face partial and complete traffic closures until December 31, 2026, the Ministry of Public Works announced, as road works continue along the route.

The measures, introduced in coordination with the General Traffic Department, will see the middle and slow lanes of the Sixth Ring Road partially closed for drivers travelling from Al-Maseela towards Al-Subbiya.

Several exits will be shut entirely. According to the ministry, the closures include the complete shutdown of the exit leading towards Kuwait, as well as the exit towards Al-Mutlaa. The exit from Al-Mutlaa Road towards Al-Subbiya will also be fully closed.

The closures form part of ongoing road works and are set to remain in place until the end of 2026, the ministry said.

The ministry called on motorists to exercise caution when driving through the affected areas, to follow traffic signs posted at the sites and to use alternative routes where possible. It said the measures were intended to help drivers avoid congestion and to ensure safety for all road users throughout the period of the works.
