Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated Sunday that Iran's response to U.S. President Donald Trump's message about negotiating a new nuclear deal has "preserved the opportunity for diplomacy," while expressing Tehran's willingness to explore indirect negotiations.

Key Points from Araghchi's Remarks:

1. On Iran's Response:

   • Described as "proportionate to the content and tone of the original message" (ISNA news agency)

   • Maintained diplomatic options while rejecting direct talks under current conditions

2. On Negotiation Stance:

   • "Direct negotiations with a party that constantly threatens force (contrary to the UN Charter) and holds contradictory positions are meaningless."

   • "We remain committed to diplomacy and are ready to test the path of indirect negotiations."

3. National Sovereignty Emphasis:

   • While pursuing dialogue, Iran is "prepared for all possible scenarios" and will "seriously defend its interests and national sovereignty."

• March 12: Araghchi received UAE Diplomatic Advisor Anwar Gargash, who delivered Trump's message
