The Ministry of Interior, represented by the 38th GCC Unified Traffic Week Committee, officially launched the mobile "Rasid" (Observer) traffic camera system today. The announcement came during a press conference under the theme "Phone-Free Driving," attended by Assistant Undersecretary for Traffic and Operations Major General Yousef Al-Khadda and senior security officials.

Portable Design: Battery-operated with no need for electrical infrastructure
Strategic Deployment: Targets violation-prone areas lacking fixed cameras
Advanced Enforcement:
✓ 70,708 seatbelt violations recorded (Q1 2025)
✓ 30,190 handheld phone use violations (Q1 2025)

55% reduction in red-light running violations
43% decrease in speeding offenses
