The Ministry of Education has issued a decision to amend school hours for secondary school students for the 2025/2026 academic year. This applies to public, special education, religious, and private schools, and aims to better organize the school day for students.
The decision, issued by Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, Engineer Mohammed Al-Khaldi, stipulates that the school day will run from 8:00 AM to 12:35 PM, with the timetable restructured to focus on core subjects.
According to the decision, six 40-minute periods per day have been adopted, enhancing focus on essential subjects and achieving a better balance within the school day.
The Ministry clarified that this amendment is temporary, to be implemented until the end of the current academic year, to support the continuity of the educational process and ensure more effective management of school time.
