Google is preparing to add a long-awaited feature to Google Password Manager on Android. Leaks suggest that support for easily importing and exporting Passkeys between devices and different password managers is imminent.

Passkeys is one of the latest login technologies, relying on secure encryption keys instead of traditional passwords, and using fingerprint or facial recognition to confirm identity without the need to type a password.

But the main problem has always been how to transfer these keys when a phone is changed or lost, a problem that Credential Exchange Protocol (CXP) aims to solve as a new standard supported by FIDO.
