Spotify today began rolling out a new AI-powered feature: a built-in chat assistant that allows users to interact with the app via voice commands or text, directly from the home screen and current launcher on smartphones. This feature enables a continuous conversation with the app, similar to AI-powered chatbots, and goes beyond voice commands, allowing users to type questions and requests. Users can ask about their favorite songs, review their listening history, learn more about podcasts and audiobooks, or even request suggestions for artists they haven't listened to before. The assistant also allows for continuous playlist improvement based on user preferences during conversations.
