Washington confirms the accuracy of reports regarding a Chinese company supplying the (Houthi) militia with satellite images..

The United States confirmed Thursday that a Chinese technology company was supplying satellite imagery to the Houthi militia to support its attacks on US interests, stressing that it "will not tolerate" any entity providing assistance to "terrorist" organizations. State Department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce said in a press briefing that the department was "aware" of the reports published by the Financial Times."We confirm reports that Chang Guang Satellite Technology Co., Ltd. directly supports Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist attacks on U.S. interests," she added. "These actions and Beijing's support for the company, even after our own private conversations with them, are yet another example of China's empty claims of support for peace." She urged U.S. partners to "judge the Chinese Communist Party and Chinese companies by their actions, not their empty words."She stressed that "restoring freedom of navigation in the Red Sea is a priority for US President Donald Trump, and Beijing should take this priority seriously when considering any future support for Chang Guang Satellite Technology Co., Ltd." She added, "Beijing's support, and specifically the satellite company, even after our discussions with them on this matter, and their continued support for it, is unacceptable.""Beijing's continued support, particularly of the satellite company, even after our discussions with them about this matter, is unacceptable," she added. "China continually attempts to portray itself as a global peacemaker... yet it is clear that Beijing and Chinese companies provide significant economic and technical support to regimes like Russia, North Korea, Iran, and their proxies," Bruce said. She noted that Beijing "continues to enable these systems, whether by providing dual-use materials that Russia needs to prosecute its war in Ukraine, North Korea's development of ballistic missiles, or Iran's support for terrorism throughout the Middle East."
